Mirror, Mirror… Gemini Full Moon Tarot Spread.

The web is humming with golden anticipation, ripe with magick and divine possibilities. If you are sensitive you are probably already feeling some low level anxiety or having strange dreams. This full Moon will be in Gemini and the Sun will be in Sagittarius. These two signs are polar opposites on the natal astrology chart. Air will face off with fire. The archer will face off with the twins. Zeus will face off with the mercurial Hermes. Tensions will be high. What you make of this energy is up to you.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. Jupiter née Zeus is the God of Gods. (It is also interesting to note that Jupiter has just moved into Sagittarius, too.) Zeus rules the sky and demands truth. He can and will shine light anywhere he believes truth is hidden. On the 23rd the Sun, Zeus, will oppose the Moon and blast it with the light of a curious God. Despite his messy personal life, Zeus was known as a protector and peacekeeper of humankind, and known to be intolerant of lies. Now is the time to call in his light and vision as an ally.

Gemini on the other hand is linked with the energy of the messenger Hermes; a relentless information gatherer who knows no bounds. His duality and trickery ensured him entrance to any hidden world, including yours.

So, how does this impact you and this tarot reading? That depends on your level of bravery.

This spread can be used to examine any area of your life particularly the areas you have been too afraid to look at. The choice is yours.

Oppositions in astrology can be both a challenge and a helpful tool. This spread is about harnessing this energy for good. Where the Sun will bring the light, the Moon will bring the information that’s ready to be uncovered. (Trust that what needs to stay hidden will stay in the dark and that’s okay. First rule of magick – don’t get hurt.) Whatever questions you have will be answered. There will be nowhere to hide. Will the energy be tense? Yes. Could it be uncomfortable? Yes. But can you harness this force and create something wonderful and freeing? Yes.

This is a big tarot spread and not for beginners. There will be some questions that appear to be closed ‘yes or no’ questions. Experienced readers will be able to work the cards for these. However, this spread doesn’t demand action or even an outcome. That is not where it’s power lays. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is just observe. We know that to observe is to affect change.

In this reading you are Zeus, he stands as a metaphor for your God-Self. Your questions are the twins, they are doorways opening up the light and shadow of your psyche for frank examination. As always, be careful what you ask for. You are in control of this.
